ELTHECO FOCUS ON STUDENTS
Here refers to what EL Theological College aims at training, imparting and equipping students all that Eltheco wants every student to become. It is what EL Theological College has in mind in building in teaching and in equipping the students, It is the vision  the focus and mission of Eltheco for the students. Below are the vision and mission of Eltheco for the students.

  1. Know Christ and to make Him known:  The vision and mission of EL Theological College in every student is to make him to know JESUS CHRIST and to make HIM known all over the world and wherever man can be found. This is the key mission and vision of Eltheco on each of the students admitted to study in Eltheco. This is  an important task of Eltheco towards all students admitted.
  2. To know and to believe the cardinal doctrines of the church:  The most important task of EL Theological College is to make every student to know, understand and to believe the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith. These are the issues, standards, doctrines, beliefs and dogmas that matter much in Christianity and in the WORD OF GOD which are issues that make the difference in faith and in Christianity at large. EL Theological College has it as a great task to make the students to know them.
  3. To Know and Possess the Christian Rights:  Another important task of EL Theological College is to make and equip all students to know and to possess their rights in Christ and all that the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ gave them and make believers to become and the  positions believers in Christ occupied in the heart of God as a result of all that Jesus did for them at Calvary. It is a necessity for every believer to understood and to believe his divine position and eternal right in Christ Jesus.
  4. To Understand Believers Authority:  One of the greatest efforts of EL Theological College in training and building the students is to help, teach, plant, equip and to make the students as the believers in Christ to fully understand their authority in Christ. The believers authority is different from believers rights. Believers rights have to do with where they occupied while their authority has to do with their actions “Heal the sick and cast out demons”. This is the statement of authority. EL Theological College has it as a task to make sure that every student train therein understands, knows and possesses the believers authority from Christ. To understand ones authority makes the one to act well.
  5. To Understand Christian Hope:  Christian race and services are in vain without hope. Believers suffer for Christ, carry the cross, face persecution, labour in God’s Vineyard when they have the hope, while others without hope quit the faith, face the world and backslide because they worked without hope. EL Theological College has it as a great task to plant hope, build rigid hope and expose the believers hope to the students which shall make them to endure tough and hard conditions. “IF JESUS CHRIST did not resurrect from the grave our hope is in vain”. This is Paul’s statement to build our hope. Our Christian race is only sustained by Christian hope and this is among the visions and missions of Eltheco to the students.
  6. To build them into Christ Life:  Among the greatest efforts of EL Theological College towards equipping students is to make them possess the Christ life or to live genuine Christian life on earth and to represent Jesus both in words, in actions, in works, in confessions and in daily life exemplification to the glory of God.
  7. To be Involved in Christian Works:  Jesus says “If anyone follows me, the same WORKS I did will he do”. This means believers in Christ have works to do in the  ceaseless visions of EL Theological College is to teach, to lead and make every student trained in EL Theological College to do the work of God and to be involved in the general ministry of the kingdom known as the gospel works. Ministers must be involved in the works of Christ.
  8. To have faith in God:  One thing is to trained and another thing is to have faith in God. it is a strong effort in EL Theological College to make every student trained in Eltheco to have solid faith in God and to possess the faith that moves mountain. It is an error to say that one is Ethecos product without faith because solid faith in God is among the solid foundation laid on each of the students trained by EL Theological College.
  9. Have Unction: Without unction charisma becomes dormant, while all issues of the ministry become too weak and too dormant because it is the unction that quickens and motivates the charisma to action. EL Theological College have  it as a great task to teach the secrets of unction and makes every student to pursue all and to possess all. Ministers trained by EL Theological College are highly anointed as such constitutes the special classroom discussion

The activities expected are preaching, teaching, singing or any other way he or she preached the gospel during each weekend.

The texts, topics and the place where programme was held should all be documented and be presented to the director of Christian Ministry every Monday morning. This service has 20% of the students marks (on ministry). If the student is not a pastor his or her pastor should sign the document before presenting that to our college. This programme is aimed at helping our students to be serious with God’s work and to expose them to duties before their graduation.

The vision of this college is to “Go into the world and make converts”. Because of this great commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ, we decided to train. Equip to build our students with rich theological and secular courses in order to win and convert the poor, the rich and the big men of the world for Christ, We want to win the heads of state, governors, the society for Christ whom many pastors and evangelists are afraid to approach because of timidity and low educational background, that’s why we want to train our people to meet the standard of the society in order to win the classes of people. This shows that two immediate tasks of the school are:-

  1. To train workers to reach and win the world for Christ.
  2. To win the world by the means of the gospel.

EL Theological College has task of training every called man or woman. There is a remedial classes for those suffering from disadvantages in education, therefore  there is an evening classes everyday from 4pm to 8pm Monday – Friday to prepare men and women, especially these two categories below.

  1. The illiterate struggling to be literate.
  2. Those struggling to be useful in God’s vineyard we prepare them to stand bold for Christ.

Students are advised to choose their desired certificate, Diploma or degrees and stipulated above.

EASY WAYS TO STUDY
EL Theological College has mapped out some easy ways to study and to readily achieve the same goals, ambitions and desired students on making who are called by God and assured by the Holy Spirit that God  called them to work for Him. Below are other possible ways, other easy means and other stressless methods to study  in EL Theological College.

  1. Weekend Studies: This is a smooth approach that permits and admits students on weekend under which the student only goes to the class on Fridays 3pm – 7pm, on Saturdays 10am – 4pm. Students can choose this system and still succeed.
  2. Part time Studies: This is another smooth system  that allows and permits the student to attend the class once or twice in a week on his or her own choosen day out of the six busy days in a week.
  3. Online Studies: This is the smoothest  method where the student chooses to study through internet in his or her own house, office or in his own kitchen at his own time and in his own method without any stress or persuasion of any.
  4. Correspondence Studies: This is an easy study that goes by correspondence, under which the  student may get all study material through correspondence in his house or in his office while he studies alone and demand any of his requests or  difficulties through correspondence.
  5. Executive Home Studies: This is an easy study that takes place right there in the home or office of the student. Under this method a lecturer is sent to the student in his house, office or anywhere of his choice. This is called the school in his house. Here the student shall study all courses but in his house

THE BEST BIBLE COLLEGE AND SECOND TO NONE
Greetings of love and joy – in Jesus name. I thank God for making this year’s  convocation a reality as we see it today. We are very happy that we are today in our own land, in our building and in our own permanent site. This years programme is a peculiar one because there are peculiar events. Though, crowded with crises, but I see this year’s programme as the best and  timely. God has always shown HIMSELF faithful in all things. We have been able to score some of our goals as stated below:

  1. PERMANENT SITE:   We are today in our permanent site, in our own buildings; a dream that later come to pass. We have about three more buildings to add in this land according to our building plan, while these two are still in progress, praise the Lord. Our school has already resumed here in our building.
  2. EL UNIVERSITY OF THEOLOGY AND BIBLICAL SEMINARY: We have currently established El University of Theology and Biblical Seminary which shall be among the institutions in this permanent site. It is a great institution and stands as the highest in Africa. While EL Theological College has fifteen (15) departments with more than five thousand courses, El University of Theology and Biblical Seminary has nine (9) faculties and forty seven (47) departments with up to eleven thousand (11,000) courses to showcase with emphasis on heart purity.
  3. INTERNATIONAL CAMPUSES:  Irrespective of God helping us to have many campuses in Nigeria, we also have students and campuses in Cameroon and very soon in Kenya. Our courses and programmes met international standards thus, other international Institutions and students invite us.
  4. LECTURERS AND LECTURES:  Our courses are highly academic which every scholar can vividly confirm to be scholastic. Our courses though theological and Bible are not fond in any other Bible College unless obtained by tricks and by irregular means. Our lecturers are equal to none, while our products are cakes that are seriously desired by other institutions.
  5. OUR STUDENTS AND STUDIOUSNESS: Our courses are those that can make the students to be academic, charismatic, spiritual and studious. We have qualified courses  that can equip the student  in his future ministry. Our course for the building, equipping and grooming of the students. Our students shall boast of becoming the best, the most spiritual, the most academic and the most charismatic students in the state.
  6. BAD ROADS IN ABA:  The greatest hindrance to our growth and success is bad roads in Aba which cannot be penetrated during wet season, but I than God and highly appreciated our students and lecturers who continue coming to our school irrespective of such ugly situation. May God bless you all in Jesus name.
  7. ECONOMIC CRISES:  There is economic crises in the nation  and this has affected every business in Nigeria,, but it seems the bad roads in Aba increased such tension in Aba, that everything is stagnant. I therefore encourage our students to keep on coming because life without test has no testimony. Winners do not quit and quitters do not win. It is not an easy battle to kill a giant neither shall goliath be killed by the weak and fainted Israelites, but by courageous, bold and steadfast David alone.. Students, I challenge you, take stand and make sure you fulfill your assignment with God in this school.
  8. WORD TO OUR STUDENTS:  I challenge you today as students that you should allow the insatitution to pass through you as you aim at passing through this institution. Every institution or organization has its own trade mark or peculiarity. Our peculiarity is Holiness unto the Lord. Make sure you go with JESUS where you go. Whether you are matriculating or graduating, the mark of our institution is upon you, therefore make sure you give good representation to this school wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
  9. MY APPRECIATION TO MY FELLOW BUILDERS: It is from the heart of my heart and with all sincerity that I want to appreciate the following instruments God who have availed themselves to be used in building this institution. May Almighty God keep, bless, prosper and protect them. God has used them in one way or the other to build and to support these projects as I listed them below.
  10. DR. S.M.C. MADUAGWU:  He is the chairman of the governing council of this great institution whose financial, moral and general contributions shall always be mentioned. He has contributed a lot and is still contributing to the growth and survival of our institutions. May the Almighty God bless and protect him and his family in Jesus Name.
  11. DR. BEN OZIEGBE:  He is the deputy chairman of the of the governing council, a good instrument in God’s hand, a builder and a man with great compassion and contributions to the growth and development of these institutions are too great. He is a great financial supporter of all our projects. May the Almighty God bless him and his family – Amen.
  12. DR. JONATHAN IFENNA:  For his steadfastness, faith, sincerity and encouragement to me who never consider money, economy and excuses even when the going gets tougher, he has always stood on his word and in love. May God bless and keep him and family.
  13. DR. EVELYN OBI:  For her great skill, administrative ability, courage and her steady support to the course of our institution, irrespective of all pains and national crises she continues her vision in El Theological institutions without excuses. May the Almighty God keep and bless her every day because her heart desire is on survival  and growth of this institution.
  14. DR. JOSEPH CHIGBU:  For his faith and faithfulness, especially in tough time, who continues fellowship and followership with me even when there are many discouraging elements and events around him, he neglected everything and focused on building and in supporting our institutions. His prayers worth much to me. May God keep and bless him in Jesus name.
  15. EVANG. ANTHONIA EDET:   For her diligence, straight forwardness and love for our institutions. She never considers her condition but focuses on building our institutions which she considers a God’s works and never relaxed to see the schools fail but always in the classroom. May God bless her and grant her all her heart desires.
  16. AMB. EMMA FRED:  For his immediate response when the enemy struck the school. His steadiness has occupied many vacuums which helped the institution to be going on. May God bless him.
  17. DR. ALICE ZURIEL ONONUJU:  For her financial supports, moral supports, prayers and her daily advice, encouragement and partnership in my suffering, pains and labours. She has contributed much in what we’re seeing today as EL Theological College. El University of Theology and International Institute of Missions; the adage says “behind every successful man, there is a wise and reasonable woman. This is true. I say may the Almighty God bless and keep her.
  18. MY CHILDREN:  Adiel, Uriel, Ammiel and Eliel for their patience and support in prayers. They have so endured with me on my tight schedules and frequent  absence in the family. I have often robbed them their rights; moreover in paying their tuition fees when due because of other monetary demands and financial involvements in EL Theological College which have drained my purse and my bag, but to the glory of God. May God bless and keep them in Jesus name.
  19. REV. ISAAC OKECHI:  For his immediate response when there was leakage and when issues looked obscure. May the Almighty God bless him.
  20. EVANG. BLESSING EZENWOKE: For her great passion and love which manifested exactly when they were needed. May God bless and keep her and family.
  21. REV. CHIKA GODFREY:  For his determination, diligence, availability, capability and prompt action when they were needed. He stands as a son of consolation to me after the death of DR. AKUNEBU. May the Almighty God keep and bless him. He is a diligent warrior of no companson when it comes to field labour.
  22. EVANG. DIVINE OBASI:  For his prompt action, immediate intervention, powerful challenges and wise steps when the music seemed to be too slow. Ma the Almighty God keep and bless him.
  23. OUR STUDENTS:  For their steady followership, fellowship and their love for our institution which made them to continue associating and belonging to our institutions irrespective of bad roads, slippery streets, economic crisis, coupled  with negative voices; still they continue following just like Ruth followed Naomi. I want to assure you that you neither miss the road nor fall off the track. You are in the right direction and after all you must surely reap the best fruits of your labour. I wish you blessings and success in life and in ministries.
  24. DEATH OF DR. CYPRIAN AKUNEBU: The death of Dr. Akunnebu was the greatest tragedy in EL Theological College in 2015. Dr. Akunebu died on 6th September and was buried on 16th October 2015 at his home town Awa in Oguta L.G.A. of Imo State. He was the Dean of studies, Director of Business and the personal assistant to the president and founder of EL Theological College, Prof. Emma Ononuju. His death created a great vacuum in the entire  system but God of all knowledge replaced him and filled the vacuum with another  diligent and intelligent staff. May the name of the Lord be blessed. Akunebu was very intelligent, diligent and obedient. I missed him, but God knows the best.

Other Issues Necessary to Hear:
There  are other things necessary to say in this address which if omitted may render all above useless, such important issues are thus written below:-

  1. Our Vision:-  We have vision to run a Christian University which shall be called El University of Theology that shall enhance the growth and advancement of theological education in Nigeria. It is a task to train and raise holy preachers, charismatic, spiritual and academic ministers who shall influence the nation with the gospel of life.

  3. About 200 Port Harcourt Rd:-  We are  still making use of our former site at 200 Port Harcourt Road, which is  not our property but rented from the landlord. It is another man’s property not  ours, though our school, classrooms, study centre and all our activities hence forth shall be in our new site here in Asannentu, which are our properties. We have now acquired  our own land and build own houses in our permanent land, as school resumes. It shall no longer be at Port Harcourt Road but here, as we are now. Therefore, don’t go there but come here or call us by phone 08056614554.
  4. Vacation and Resumption:  When our school vacates and resumes at this very ground where we are today. I mean here and not any other place but here. Here is our permanent site and our own building and our own sweat without any rent to any landlord. In all your enquiries  about our school come to this ground, you will see us because landlord does not run away.
  5. My General Appreciation:  I thank all of you that left your businesses and tight schedules to attend our programme today, this is a manifestation of your love to what we are doing. May the Almighty God keep and bless you as you go back to your various homes in Jesus name – Amen.

  1. Physical, Spiritual amd Ministerial Strength: Every student of EL Theological College is built, trained and equipped with physical strength, spiritual strength, ministerial strength and general strength to meet up with all ministerial challenges and to understand what and why God called him. Strength is a necessity to ministerial success and  ministerial victory in total scale of things.
  2. Physical, Spiritual and ministerial power: Ecclesiastical power is different from strength, thus, there is need to get power and to get strength. EL Theological College impart the student, groom the student, fill the student and plant in the student with all physical, spiritual and ministerial power in order for him to function very well, function very effectively, function very actively and function very successfully in the very area of his assignment. The gospel ministry cannot succeed without POWER nor shall the believer be active without power.
  3. Physical, Spiritual and ministerial authority: Our students are helped, instructed and equipped with divine authority. The unction and charisma can be dormant without divine authority. Believers are called with authority but only few of them grab it, know it and claim it. EL Theological College have it as a task, as a mandate and as a  commandment to equip every student with divine authority, with physical, spiritual and with ministerial authority in order to face, destroy, humiliate and to bend all contrary authorities and powers of darkness that fight against the church and  against Christians. Authority is a necessity to the miracles, charisma and breakthrough in Christian ministries. Authority is needed by believers.
  4. Physical, Spiritual and  ministerial life: EL Theological College is the centre for the exhibition of physical, spiritual and ministerial life. Without life there shall be no effort and not business at all. Spiritual life is a necessity to all progress, wealth and victory. EL Theological College has it as a goal, as a strategy and as a focus to plant and sow spiritual life in the student, to plant and sow physical and  ministerial life into every student in order to make them become vibrant ministers, goal oriented ministers and today’s achievers in the gospel ministry.
  5. Physical, Spiritual and Ministerial Health: Health is wealth, Health is weight and health is height. Health has both physical, spiritual and ministerial voices in the world, in the church and in heaven. EL Theological College is general health promoter, building and equipping the students with all spiritual ingredients to make spiritual health, all lively equipment to make physical health and all ecclesiastical instruments to make the ministerial health. It is healthy pastor that builds a healthy church. EL Theological College makes the students to be physically healthy by Biblical instruction, makes the students spiritually healthy by spiritual and scriptural diets that sustains the minister. Eltheco also feeds the students with ministerial diets that shall lead the students to ministerial success.
  6. Physical, Spiritual and Ministerial Influence:  EL Theological College trains, equips and builds every student to be influential ministers in the church and in the society in order to score his ministerial goals. The target of Eltheco in making the student to be influential is his ministerial success, thus every student in Eltheco is trained to possess physical, spiritual and ministerial influence as a gospel minister. Spiritual and ministerial ministers break-through in the gospel general ministry.

SHOWCASING DEEPER ACADEMIC PROGRAMS OF ELTHECO, BY REV. PROF. EMMA ONONUJU

Greetings  to you all in Jesus name.

It is my greatest joy to present this address today in this great event of our college. EL Theological College derived its name from Hebrew word El meaning “God” and this name of course has attracted the power and presence of God to the college. This college was established about 36 months ago through the vision and leadership of God.

I started the school without any friend, without any board, without any support of the church and without a single student but with the father, the son and the Holy Ghost who advertised and brought people to the college. EL Theological College is not a branch of any existing Bible College in Nigeria and not owned by any church denomination but owned by God and all who believe in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, therefore our College is an inter-denominational Bible College that admits Christians from different fellowship backgrounds.

It will be an omission if this address is void of our aim of existence, our vision, courses in our college and our needs. I therefore use this time to speak more of these.

  1. The Purpose of our Existence:  Our Bible College is established to correct many errors caused by Theological Colleges and ministers of our days which have affected the churches today. Many Bible Colleges teach the letter and allow the spirit to die, some are after money and not after heaven or salvation, while some preachers of some Bible Colleges cannot even boast of GCE but today are called the Reverend Doctors. The deadness and politics that started in Bible Colleges have made many churches to be the home of criminals, houses of liars, altar of dupes and closet of sinners and boasters. These painful, shameful and unbiblical habits in the houses of God motivated God to raise  a prophet like me and to establish a home of correction like EL Theological College to correct and  heal such ugly conditions, which today many ministers both those in full time with us and those on party time have received spiritual healing, deliverance and the true word of life.
  2. School Programmes:  like other secular Universities, EL Theological College has many academic programmes. EL Theological College has postgraduate department to prepare those for Masters and Doctorate degrees. We have department of part-time and correspondence studies and have been helping ambitious students from distant areas with study materials and guidelines to private studies. Nevertheless, we do all these because we have knowledge and materials that can authenticate them.
  3. The Collegians:  Our students cannot only compete and defeat students from other Bible Colleges but our students stand lecturers to students of other Bible Colleges. As a university lecturer, I don’t only feed my students with theological courses but also with secular courses studied in the secular universities especially those studied by the faculty of humanities. Our Diploma students studied more than the masters Degree students of some Bible Colleges and can teach even those with master’s degrees. This is a simple truth that needs no debate. Our students here are my witnesses.
  4. Courses in our College:  It has been generally known, believed and expressed by many people even some presidents of other Bible Colleges that EL Theological College is the most academic, most spiritual, most balanced, most truthful and the best Bible College presently in Abia State. This truth is evidenced in the number of courses offered by our college, the systems of chapel services, preaching and teaching in our college. Our college has the highest number of courses in Nigeria. This is not exaggeration to tell you that our diploma students study more than 95 courses, while the degree students study more than 190 courses before their graduation for complete and comprehensive equipment. These numbers of courses are not obtainable in most Bible Colleges in Nigeria.
  5. Our Lecturers and Students:  We have qualified lecturers who were properly groomed, well equipped, disciplined and theologically sound. Our lecturers are holy men and women who are the epitome of what they are teaching. They make themselves fathers to the students and friends that sticketh closer than brothers. Today we are graduating and matriculating some students, our graduating students will represent and speak of this Bible college where everything they are because of what the received from this college. The matriculating students are today admitted into the academic stream of EL Theological College for wider knowledge. There is always a rapport and harmonious relationship between the lectures and the students and these since attracted love, respect and unity among us.
  6. Our Vision:  Without vision, there will be no mission because mission is the true product of vision. We want to train and equip ministers who will correct the corruptions that have filled our land even  in the churches. We want to produce people with sound educational and theological power who will be bold to condemn evil in our society, convert the occultist, the heathens, the church goers, the leaders of thought and the great men of our time. We want to extend theological education to the churches by training the church workers to be more useful in the hand of God. We therefore, request you to send your deacons, teachers, ushers and other workers for sound part time theological training that will last only but one year. We want to make this land the Christian land and hand it over to God completely.
  7. Meritorious and Honorary Awards:  Today we have good people of our great nation whose testimonies of good works, sincerity, love and contributions to the church, to the government and to individuals have reached heaven, covered the earth and down to us. Their testimonies have proved to be true with many evidences within and without. Some of them today will be decorated as doctors, while some also will have certificates of merit due to their great contributions. The people are great and I know their friends and well wishers who come with them are here today to confirm the testimonies of their friends. I plead with those who come with the would be doctors to do something gently and maturely though with joy in their hearts and praises in their lips. I will present them when it is time for that.
  8. Appreciation:  I thank God who is building this college, I say “May all honour, all praises, all thanks and kingly worship be given to His holy name”, Amen. I will not forget to thank and appreciate our present and outgoing students who have embraced the discipline and holiness of our college and completely became the errand team of our college. Worthy to note are the services, sacrifices and  diligence of our lecturers who  have devoted their time, talent and energy to build this college, among whom are Rev. Emma Eleke MA, ThM., Rev. Ebere Nwukwa MA, Rev. Zuriel Alice Ononuju ThB, MA, Pastor Chidi Uko ThM, Rev. Dr. A. Ebem and Rev. Jude Adibe. My great appreciation goes to the governing council who labored sacrificed and worked with me to actualize this occasion today. I also thank the administrative council that worked the academic programmes of this college. I thank all of you who responded to our invitation. I say, may the almighty God bless and protect you in Jesus name.
  9. Appeal:  I plead with good Nigerians here to help in building this Inter-denominational Bible College, whatever thing you give us for the building of this college will be utilized for the purpose in which you give it. We have many needs but anyone that the Lord may lay in your heart to do, we shall appreciate it. We need computers, chapel equipments (amplifier, microphone, speakers and generator). We need a permanent site, therefore we need land, gospel van, white seats, Video sets and video camera. There are many things we need that will make this college meet her target. If God touched you to do all or one of them, just let us know we shall allow you to speak out. I want to assure you that whatever cash you give in order to support this college is directly given to God and God will not fail to reward you.
  10. The Problem of Indigent Students:  There are many people in our churches who are called by God but are hindered by money, this also becomes a great challenge that money hindered the work of God while you are around. This is very ridiculous. In our college, we have many students who cannot even transport themselves to the school nor can pay their school fees, some cannot pay their school fees, some are planning to drop, some are crying while others are regretting because God called them to service without sponsor. These students are sincere and are willing to work for God but no money to carry on their training. Are you not challenged that money is trying to be hindrance to God’s work. If God has touched you about any of these students or all of them please indicate  by writing or vowing openly and tell us what you can do to help the poor students finish their  studies. I am sure God will not forget you if you sponsor a called man to be a minister. It will take up to N36,000 to finish diploma course and about N68,000 to complete the Bachelor Degree, so if you are touched please help them, we have many o them and have given many of tuition free studies while others  are fully on financial free studies without any  payment

CONCLUSION:  I thank you all who are here today to witness this great occasion, but may I request one thing more from you “Please carry the good news, good programmes and wonderful activities of this college to your people, to your friends to our college, direct them here and we shall satisfy them. Our school resumes. Our office will be opened for admission as from tomorrow, come for your admission or enquiries as from tomorrow, we are still open for admission. May the great God protect and take you safely home in Jesus name.

Rev. Dr. Emma Ononuju
The President.
